Question How do you heal another player?

Hey to all, I'm a noob at this game so here goes. I was training secondary as a monk and a monk trainer gave me a quest that included a pve bot, and also a spell that will heal him. he said stand close to him when I use the healing spell, but no matter how close I stood to him when I used the healing spell, he was steady dying.

What's the correct way to heal another player, because his health is critical to my mission.

Thanks.

Hey gardenia

If you read the description of the skill you are using carefully you will notice that it applies to target ally, this means you can cast it on another person or yourself. To cast on yourself, click on your body or press F to target yourself, or press C and target a monster (targeting a monster with a heal spell, will heal you and not it ). To cast the spell on another person, click on their body or look an your party list and click on their name, then use the skill; the V key will select the ally nearest to you.

These same techniques work for your heroes and their healing spells. In general, only players with their primary profession as monk, will be doing the healing. As an elementalist, you can focus on damage and party support for now, saving healing for when you have a more solid grasp of the basics of your profession.

Good luck!

Why wouldn't a R/Mo be able to heal? I suppose Gardenia is in presearing, so saying only monks can heal is unneeded.

And silly, don't use myself but don't the Sab/Discord builds that are very popular for hero Necro's have monk skills in them?

Anywhoo, to OP, like others said just click on NPC to target and heal, if you don't click him/her you'll just heal yourself.

I reckon the reason he is still dieing is because you haven't put any points into Healing Prayers and so the heal is only doing a very small amount.

Just a suggestion ^^

Look to see who is targeted at the top of the screen. If nobody is targetted, or an enemy is targeted, using the spell will heal YOU.

Are you doing the quest in the Catacombs where you have to escort the guy through to a certain point? If so, he is steadily losing health because the water you run through is poisonous. There are a few spells to heal conditions, although whether or not you have access to those spells in pre, I know not. Just keep spamming whatever healing spells you have on him and you should be fine.

people use necro healers only to have good energy management so they can spam more heals since heros dont tend to have good e-management

& to op click on them or click on their name in the party window to heal them, or set keys to target party members, i set the lower right number pad to target party members .... helps ALOT in pvp

You click on them or on their name in the party window, then hit the button your heal spell is assigned to. This doesn't apply to all spells, though - you'll have to read the description. If it says target ally/target other ally, you have to click on the person you want to heal. With things like party-wide spells, everyone within the appropriate range will be healed immediately, without the need for you to target. Some, of course, are purely personal buffs, and some rely on your positioning, because they heal an area around you.

But by and large, most of them should be target ally/target other ally, so just point and click.

There is no mention to where he is in what campaign. The OP didn't even mention profession either.
